I haven't enjoyed this as much as some of Goddard's other books. I found it hard to follow the plot, all the names and who was who.
The narration is good though.

Love Robert Goddard’s writing. I’ve enjoyed several of his books, and each time I think it’s the best I’ve read. This one is full of amazing twists. I hoped to make it last a bit longer, but I just couldn’t resist hearing the next chapter.. The narrator was very good too.

As with his other novels, the intrigues of the story never allow the reader to anticipate the next twist. The great trait robbery; the Kennedy assassination — and what an ending!!

I have enjoyed many of Robert Goddard’s books, but this isn’t one of them. It was like an adult version of a Hardy Boys book. It may have been the narrator that made it seem like that - I’m not sure, but it felt badly cobbled together. And the main character - just badly drawn and I really did not care what happened to him. And the storyline - so thin and full of ‘so what! . . . who cares’.
If you want to read a novel that links you with past events, skip this and go with John Boyne, or specifically about JFK, Stephen King has done a beauty.
