Summary

Reese:

My life hasn't been easy. At age 11, my parents and two younger siblings were murdered and I went to live with my grandmother. At age 18, I broke up with my boyfriend of almost one year because he wasn't who I thought he was. He further proved that when he put his hands on me. Two weeks later, my grandmother died. I moved to a new town with my last living relative, my older brother, Carbon, to finish my senior year of high school at Croftridge High.

Then, I met Duke Jackson. One decision changed my life forever.

Duke:

My life was in a good place. My sister was happy and healthy and I had my club. I couldn't ask for more, or so I thought.

The night I ran into Reese Walker, I realized I could ask for more. I wanted more, and it was her.

I almost had her, but I messed up and she walked away. I was angry and hurt, so I let her go, until the night she came crashing back into my life. Secrets were exposed and ghosts from the pasts resurfaced, but I refused to let her walk away from me a second time without a fight.

Contains mature themes.

Good narration

The narration by Troy Duran was great, as usual. The female narrator was good. The story is full of action and drama. Worth it!

This series is addicting!

This series has grabbed me and won’t let go! This is Duke and Reese’s story. We know from book 1 that something was going on with Reese and Duke. Now we catch up with them. Lots happening and we meet a few new people. Looking forward to the next book

Love book 2 Duke

Duke and well Carbon too are the big brothers I would have loved to have. Duke is a man child during part of this story due to a misunderstanding, but then he came around. I love books that suck a reader/listener in to their world. I really love the Blackwings MC.

Female narrator

Mia Madison seemed to have just read through the book instead of changing her voice for parts. I almost had to quit reading it

Story is good but Reese is soooo annoying!

The first book I really liked Reese and was excited to read this one and hear hers and Dukes story but the immaturity of Reese and even sometimes Duke is so freaking annoying! The story line is really good but I just wish their relationship and attitude in general was more mature.
