The beginning promises a very atmospheric contiuation od the Original dracula. The first 3/4 are kind of slow but fitting the theme. However main the characters all feel the same forsome reason. The the plot is conveluted and it becomes weirdly fastpassed and superficial at the end. Weird choice made in Prologue.

Still it was fun and better written than alot of other dracula story's.

This is an absolutely outstanding audiobook. The narrators give carefully judged and thought through performances. The book (like it's famous prequel) is formed of diary entries, letters and extracts from other documents. Both Jonathan Keeble and Emma Gregory play multiple roles and are flawless in every single characterisation. The writing is rich, intelligent and evocative. Every beat of the narrative rings true and the horror is deliciously cumulative with a slow but sure building sense of dread, Highly recommended especially if you are a fan of the original 1897 Stoker novel.
