Summary

An unabridged reading of this original novel featuring the Seventh Doctor, as played on TV by Sylvester McCoy, and Ace in an encounter with the Cybermen.

The Blitz is at its height. As the Luftwaffe bomb London, Cody McBridge, expat American private eye, sees a sinister silver sphere crash-land. He glimpses something emerging from within.

The military dismiss his account of events - the sphere must be a new German secret weapon that has malfunctioned. What else could it be?

Arriving amid the chaos, the Doctor and Ace embark on a trail that brings them face to face with hidden Nazi agents and some very old enemies....

value for money

loved it. 6th doctor and ace are my favourite Doctor and companion. and with the length of the story it really draws you in with details and characters, twists and turns

great story, but also quality is poor

the story by Mike Tucker is really good, but the audio quality deteriorated markedly from chapter 25 with words missing and choppy audio.

Quintessential 7th Doctor

Would you consider the audio edition of Doctor Who: Illegal Alien to be better than the print version?

Difficult to say to be fair. But let me say this. I was never a fan of Sophie Aldred or Ace in the show. That said Sophie Aldred is fantastic as a storyteller. She brings this to life effortlessly, so much so that the story not her vocal takes the lead. She only becomes, for want of a better word, visible, when she is being Ace. All this tells me she has talents we were never given an opportunity to see. Amazing job.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

London 1940, The blitz is the last thing you should be frightened of.
