It ain't Shakespeare

Highlights the lives of several gay teens in the Midwest living soap operish lives facing very topical terrors growing up in the early 1980s. Captures the adolescent angst nicely, but isn't particularly well written.

Good story, but...

This book is basically a followup from the previous book. But the story is quite different, and it does start off a bit slow, but it does get better towards the end. Dane getting the sh#t knocked out of him at his school, but coming back as a better person and a new boyfriend. Shawn standing up to his dad, It all takes guts to do of what these boys did, which makes the story even better. Can't wait til the next book.

It just keeps getting better.

I have really come to enjoy the Verona boys. Can't wait for the sequel . The 80"s were not the easiest to be out of the closet.
