Summary
Es klingt fast zu gut um wahr zu sein - Polly wird ihr Hobby zum Beruf machen, und das in Cornwall, auf einer romantischen Insel mit Männerüberschuss. Genau die richtige Kur für ein leeres Konto und ein gebrochenes Herz. Aber die alte Bäckerei ist eine windschiefe Bruchbude, am Meer kann es sehr kühl sein, und der Empfang, den manche Insulaner ihr bereiten, ist noch viel kälter. Gut, dass Polly Neil hat, einen kleinen Papageientaucher mit gebrochenem Flügel. Doch bald kauft der halbe Ort heimlich ihr wunderbares selbstgebackenes Brot, und als sie Neil fliegen lassen soll, ist sie schon fast heimisch geworden.
