Hauptfigur ist der hoffnungslose und depressive Vater Mack, der um seine entführte und höchstwahrscheinlich ermordete jüngste Tochter trauert. Seltsame Eingebungen führen ihn in eine einsame Hütte im Wald, wo er Gott, Jesus und den Heiligen Geist antrifft, um die nächsten Tage mit ihnen zu verbringen. Kernpunkt der Handlung ist das heftige Hadern von Mack mit Gott und die drängende Frage nach dem Warum.

Sprecher Johannes Steck leiht den ergreifenden und tiefgründigen Dialogen des Hörbuchs seine Stimme. Dabei macht er diese erschütternde Glaubenskrise zu einem fesselnden Hörgenuss.

Summary

Macks jüngste Tochter ist vor Jahren entführt und wahrscheinlich umgebracht worden. good for listening comprehension

I have this book for practicing German. The reading is very clear and not too fast, and the text is not too complicated. The only disappointment is that it is abridged which makes it very difficult to listen with a parallel written text, either in German or English.
