Summary
Die kleine Kitty kommt in einem Wandertheater auf die Welt, mit dem ihre Eltern in Australien von Stadt zu Stadt ziehen. Erst die Wirtschaftskrise zwingt die Künstlerfamilie zum Aufgeben. Als Dimitri, ein begüterter Hotelier, der Familie ein Heim bietet, glaubt das Mädchen, endlich ein Zuhause gefunden zu haben. Doch damit bahnt sich eine Katastrophe an, die Mutter und Tochter erneut zum Aufbruch zwingt. Bis aus Kitty ein gefeierter Bühnenstar wird, muss sie noch viele Schicksalsschläge meistern und mit zäher Energie an ihrer Berufung festhalten. Aber selbst der internationale Erfolg tröstet die Sängerin nicht über ihre Sehnsucht nach der Farm am Eukalyptushain hinweg. Und schon gar nicht über den Schmerz einer tragischen Trennung...
