Summary
Christopher Stremme war neun oder zehn Jahre alt, als er im Zoo für Sekunden den Rüssel eines Elefanten berührte. Heute für ihn ein alltägliches Erlebnis. Seit sieben Jahren kümmert sich der 44-jährige Tierarzt aus Dortmund um Elefanten auf Sumatra. Da der Urwald dort immer großflächiger abgeholzt wird, wird der Lebensraum für die Tiere von Tag zu Tag kleiner. Auf Nahrungssuche zerstören sie deshalb immer häufiger die Felder der Bauern.
