Summary

After bonding with Dawnbringer, the Sacred Sword of Light, Keras Selyrian travels to the nation of Edria to compete in the Tournament of the Sacred Sword. The winner of the tournament will be given a chance to fight for the Sacred Sword of Stone if they can defeat the current wielder, the impossibly powerful Emperor of Edria, in single combat.

Winning the tournament will be no simple endeavor. To succeed, Keras will have to face representatives from every nation, other foreign travelers of great skill, his own allies, other sacred sword wielders...and even a familiar face from his past.

But the tournament itself won't be the only challenge.

When tournament contestants are found dead, Keras discovers the telltale signs of a familiar type of enemy - one that even his own formidable powers might fail to match.

Author's note: This book is designed to set the foundation for plot and character arcs for several books to come, and this means that by necessity, there will be a number of elements introduced in this book that aren't resolved by the end. This is intentional, but it may not work for all listeners. If you prefer stories that feel self-contained, you may be best waiting for at least one more book to come out to listen to them back-to-back.

fantastic follow up, and a great standalone

Rowe writes such interesting and bombastic stories it's a struggle to ever put them down.

Diamantine follows an exciting tournament arc, with mystery abound and interesting tests throughout. the follow up to this story is sure to be nothing but satisfaction for all of the dangling mysteries left by the end

an easy 5/5 for the story and Nick Pohdel's performance

Another great book by Andrew Rowe

Andrew Rowe creates characters with depth, stories with twists and turns that keep you turning pages or in this case, wanting to listen to just a little bit more each time. I cannot wait for the story to continue.

Jaw dropper!

This book is a must, it provides a detailed back story about the infamous Karis. It also gived the reader more information about the level/class system and the world. This book is a great continuation to the first and directly links to the arcane ascension books. What an ending! I cant wait for the next release.

Also the narrator did a fantastic job!

Amazing

Truly amazing I couldn't help but listen to it in a single sitting. My only gripe with this book is where it ended but then again I can't get enough of this world he has built.

I am In shock!

When I started this book, my excitement was immeasurable. And now that I have finished it, I have somehow transcended excitement and now I feel as though I am emotionally invested in the characters and the world of these books, to the point that I will probably think about them daily, and wonder if they are alright. This story is but a piece in one of he best stories I have ever read. It is starting to feel as though everything really is connected and coming together. Everything from The War Of Broken Mirrors, to Arcane Ascension, is starting to feel more connected, and the next book whatever it may be, will be even more engaging now that we are somewhat aware of what is going on. But there are still very many questions yet to be answered, and I am sure it will only get more interesting moving forward. Thank you Andrew Rowe, Thank you Podium Publishing, Thank You Nick Podehl, Thank You Audible and Thank you to everyone that makes these books possible. You have my gratitude.

Not the best in the series

Big fan of Rowes work. This one is okay but feels more like a vehicle for plot wrapped in the tournament arc from Hunter x Hunter.

also whatever Podehl did to Corrins voice he needs to undo. I know it's a minor part but he's literally the protagonist for two existing books. nows not the time for creative choices (hmm maybe I should make him sound much younger and also whiney)

the ending oh my goodness

the entire story captivated me. that's it... this book was well written and painted an amazing picture. I've listened to all of his other books that relate to this story and all I want to do is re-listen to them. the ending just has me yearning for the next in the series.

Why!? Gotta read this now

Andy, Mr. Rowe, author-so-dear, please don’t go so long as RRMartin has gone with GoT. I need more of these series’!

That ending, I literally cursed out loud. I know it’s gonna be a while before I get to follow up on it.

Oh and another excellent performance by Nick Podehl! I searched for his name and went to listen to other books he’s read.

awesome series.

I love the series... the title didn't really reflect the progression of the story much, but it did whet my appetite for more.
