Summary
An einem eiskalten und sonnigen Morgen wird mitten in New York, auf offener Straße, der stadtbekannte Drogenhändler und Zuhälter Arnie Gonella vor dem Eingang eines zwielichtigen Nachtclubs erschossen aufgefunden. Zeugen wollen gesehen haben, wie sich ein Police Officer dem im Halteverbot stehenden Ferrari Gonella's genähert und dann denn Mann erschossen hat. Als Captain Toby Rogers vom Morddezernat Manhattan mit dem Fall betraut wird und im Verlauf alle Ermittlungen in eine Sackgasse zu laufen scheinen, ist einmal mehr die Mithilfe von Bound Reiniger, dem Privatermittler, gefragt. Reiniger nimmt die Fährte auf - und blickt prompt selber in die Mündung eines Revolvers, dessen Besitzer alles andere als ein Freund und Helfer ist...
