warning, very extreme content

Having enjoyed some of Candace's other work I thought I would find out how she handles a power imbalance fantasy story; what I didn't expect was how extreme it would be. This short story has extreme bodily harm in it and I found that too much to handle. I think most people who are looking for a bit of kinky fantasy will find this goes too far for them too, but I guess everyone has their own limits and kinks so who am I to judge.

It's got good and bad points.

As usual with Candace, it was very well performed. It was written well, but it was a bit darker than I expected. It was very good, but don't go into this expecting any feel-good. It's more provocative than pleasing.

Wow, what a story

This is quite a story considering how short it is. Marcus did not treat his captive well so I do not know how she fell in love with him. He followed through on some nasty threats. How someone can cut off parts of your body and you do not blame them is beyond me. Her father refused to pay the ransome and got what he deserved. Candace Young did a great job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

INTENSE SEX, BUT AVERAGE, JUST AVERAGE OVERALL...

From the author, Thrust's story to the narrator, Candace Young's performance, everything was just average. While there is an intense sex scene in the audiobook, and graphic at that, the story doesn't justify oneself buying or using a credit to obtain a copy of this audiobook.

I received a free copy of this audiobook and I freely give my review of this audiobook.

Piercing Story

The narrator was great. The story was short, but still good. Need more sex and more passion.

Good performance...

I was gifted a code for this audiobook. I'm leaving this review voluntarily.

I enjoyed the narration for this. Unfortunately the story itself wasn't for me personally.
