About this listen
You don't find them. They find you ...
As the moon rises, the dark night carries a warning. Death walks in many forms.
An ancient wood hides an eternal secret, while in bygone Edinburgh, the sea mist rolls in and the leerie—a lamplighter—hears an unusual whisper in the shadows.
Contestants at a lonely hearts event give answers that may carry a bite, and the rites of an arranged marriage weave their own dark bonds beyond the grave ...
Twenty nine original frights seeped in myth and mystery, from Edinburgh's new voice in gothic horror
About the Author
Amaris Chase grew up on a healthy diet of Hammer Horror TV and films, Sapphire and Steel and Victorian ghost stories which fuelled her passion for all things supernatural. Her short stories and poetry have been published in numerous anthologies. Dark Moon Tales is her first short story collection. She currently lives in Edinburgh.

There are a lot of stories, some very short, others a bit longer, but all feel so unique and well thought out. I felt completely immersed in the worlds painted by the author, well narrated by Jerry Ozaniec. The stories are set in Edinburgh, a beautiful gothic setting, lending itself perfectly to the tales in this collection.
This is a collection perfect for the spooky months, when it’s darker outside and you just want to curl up with a book reflecting that ghastly mist outside.
Thanks to Crumps Barn Books for the opportunity to listen to it and this is my honest opinion.
A perfect collection for spooky season!

Of the moon is so clever and there are all the vampires, werewolves and witches you could hope for. Really enjoyed the various present day references too
Enchanting range of settings and storylines
