A Warhammer 40,000 Audiobook

Kaptin Skeeg Horntoof is an ork freebooter with a simple code to follow, and a plan to plunder untold riches. Of course, nothing ever goes to plan, and he may have given himself a task that's bigger than his ambitions. Will his crew allow him to drag them into a quagmire, or will they take matters into their own hands?

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE
Take the plunge into a world of ambition, power, and adventure, where every ork is out for themselves. The life of a freebooter isn't a simple one, but it IS exciting – and you just never know when you're going to strike it rich. Just remember, NO ORK CAN DO A MUTINY!

THE STORY
Skeeg Horntoof is an ork with big dreams: the biggest hat, the most dakka, and the ambition to become the greatest freebooter the galaxy has ever seen. As kaptin of Gork's Revenge, he is guided by Da Freebooterz Code – a set of rules so outrageous they just might work. With a krew of misfits, meks, and mutineers, he sets out on a quest for loot and glory.

This time, though, Horntoof may have bitten off more than he can chew – the kaptin has instructed his boyz to plunder the hunting grounds of the legendary rogue trader Lord Captain Antoinette von Hume. Deadly, resourceful, and merciless, the pirate queen of the Halo Stars has been pillaging her way across the void for decades, and an upstart freebooter with a big hat isn't about to get in her way.

But Horntoof has his eyes on the biggest prize of all, and he has a plan – one that will take all his guile, all his kunnin', and all his dakka. Da Freebooterz Code is going to make him a legend… as long as von Hume doesn't obliterate him first.

This was a fun ork story aka a Free Booter grant it's also a Rouge Trader one as well so it's a space pirates story there's some fluff filter which does cause the story to slow abit but it's more of a palate cleanser for when the story picks up still this was a fun story enjoy YA GITS.....

Great ork characters and storytelling!
The human side is a bit too predictable and over-played with the characters offering little to no novelty.
Overall a good listen made better by the performance

Great orks, convenient humans

This is a fantastic addition to the ork lore BUT the overall story is dragged down by the human parts. The middle of the human story is by far the worst, most unimaginative warhammer writing since verminslayer, it's a massive contrast to the ork parts. Again the Ork parts are mork/10 or gork/10 depending on what git you ask but unless you like Disney style girl boss writing then the human parts are hard to listen to. It feels like the writer knows a lot about orks but knows nothing about the imperium but that just my personal opinion. Or maybe this is another example of a writer possibly being forced to include certain themes relating to modern times... Also there's not as much description as usual for the human parts, I can't recall what the little barnacle( the light transport used by imperials) looks like as it isn't well described for being prevalent, this is very minor however.

Fantastic Ork story but soured by the human parts.

would have been an amazing story with no problems if it focused more on orks like the title and cover suggested however it was still an enjoyable storry

too much humans not enough orks

the ork side is fantastic and showed a different breed of piratical ork which was proper good. the humie side though suffered from too much convenience that was not set up properly to feel right, it's like they have exactly the special tech and other situational happenstances they need as if the power of 'girls get it done' is a force akin to what the orks can effect with the power of gork and mork

orky bits good, humie bits too convenient, still worth the listen!
