Summary

Leaving everything behind to move to England was difficult enough, but when I catch the attention of Alstone High’s bad boy for all the wrong reasons, things go from bad to worse.

He resents my position as the soccer team’s MVP, and that isn't even the worst part.

He’s figured out my secret.

He knows I want him, and he hates me for it.

But I can see right through Kian Courtland, and I’ve figured something out. Something that he won’t even admit to himself.

His secret?

He wants me, too.

Cross the Line is a stand-alone M/M new adult high school romance novella with enemies to lovers themes. This book contains mature situations and content.

My Thoughts on Cross The Line

Gah, I loved this story. Kian and Preston may have started as enemies, but their attraction was immediate and undeniable. And even before they stopped fighting it the chemistry was HOT! Once they gave in it just got better. But I loved that even in this short story there was more than just the steamy moments holding my attention. There was the emotional family baggage from Kian. There was the new guy in a new country and fear of coming out to teammates with Preston. There was meeting the parents and coming out to friends. And there was the unpleasant reality when loved ones aren’t accepting. There was just so much to this story and it was narrated with skill and to my great enjoyment by Gregory Salinas. The switches between Kian’s British and Preston’s American accents throughout were flawless. I was in awe. And I will be very happily listening to more from this narrator and this author in future.

This book was was quick listen, but it hit all the major points. The writing and the narration matched so well. That it added another layer of fascination for me. Amazing listen, and I enjoyed the character build up.

Sit back and enjoy the ride

What a delicious and delightful read this was.

Amazingly angsty, Kian and Preston’s story fire!!!!

Becca definitely put the emotions on the page and you could feel every bit of what was happening. Love how Kian melted just right and became what Preston needed him to be.

Fast, easy read of first time MM experience.

What is there not to love about Gregory Salinas and his dreamy voice. (swoon)

Enemies to lovers…

Short and totally sexy… Cross the line is a sporty romance with two jocks with the need to antagonize each other. Preston and Kian are from different parts of the world but they collide in a swirling romance. I loved when they decided to go for it and not fear their feelings or what everyone else might think. Great voices, accents too.

Very enjoyable

I really enjoyed this book and the emotional descriptive writing that comes with it. As young teenage boys it’s very hard to clamp down on your emotions especially when society is pulling you in One Direction and your body is pulling you in the other.I feel that Becca has captured this brilliantly. With a fantastic performance from Gregory it really does capture the pain and heartache young boys go through.

Hot!

Cross the Line is a fast-paced M/M enemies to lovers novella. This is a standalone although we were first introduced to these characters in Trick Me Twice so if you like this book, you should definitely check out the other one as well. While I don't listen to a lot of M/M romance, I loved this one. It was short and sweet with low angst and likable characters. Gregory Salinas did an amazing job bringing these characters to life.

Loved this 🔥🔥🔥 M/M Short Story

I read this ebook when it was in the anthology waaaay back in the day haha (I also helped name the book so its near and dear to my heart ❤️). I loved it then, my guilty pleasure is totally M/M romance (all kinds!) and this first M/M romance by Becca Steele was amazing and I wish there was more!

Kian and Preston are a fun couple to see the walls come crumbling down between them. Becca has been giving us some great enemies to lovers and bully romances and this one kinda toes the line of both. We get to see Preston and Kian at odds with one another, see their instant attraction, and get to see them realize and act on their feelings. I felt for Kian so much in this one because of his family situation and Preston having to deal with Kian's antics was tough to read and listen to but Preston isn't a pushover and wouldn't take it for very long. I also loved how we got some cameos from other books and that this is all the shared world of Alstone.

I was a tad worried about Gregory Salinas having to go back and forth with the various accents but he did a great job. I really loved his narration of Preston, he totally captured him how I imagined him in my mind. I thought the hurt and nervousness he exuded in some scenes as Kian were superb too. Great job yet again, can't wait to listen to more from him 😊

A great, hot short!

The range of Gregory Salinas never ceases to amaze me. He flows in and out of accents easily and this is a perfect example. I love this short, listened to it all in on sitting. The heat and chemistry is potent, the characters leap off the page and you feel so much for both guys. Love this universe so much.

Steamy M/M Romance

Cross the Line by Becca Steele is a short M/M novella.

Preston has recently moved to England from America. Joining the school’s soccer team, he soon catches the attention of Kian, the school’s bad boy. What starts out as enemies soon turns into more when Kian discovers Preston’s secret.

This is a quick enjoyable M/M romance.

Narration by Gregory Salinas was spot on and brought this story to life. Great narration of accents and overall depiction of characters and emotions.

Cross the Line

I had the amazing opportunity to listen to an advanced audio version of this book. This is a MM enemies to lovers high school romance. It is set in the same world as Becca Steele's The Four series. It also takes place in the same timeline as Trick Me Twice. I loved getting to see more of Kian and Preston. I really enjoyed this book. Gregory Salinas did an absolutely incredible job narrating this book.
