Captivating

One of those very rare books that’s worth hiding from the world for a day and becoming totally absorbed with the story and characters.

A truly magnificent listen.

The story was engaging, the pace was fab, the ending didn’t disappoint. The best of all was the narrator Clare Corbett. I have listened to quite a vast amount of audio books and I truly believe that she is just excellent.
The writhing and the narration worked perfectly 10/10.

Gosh!

At last a book that delivers, after several disappointing listens.Great narration and a fast moving story. Lots of twists and gasps. Very sad and moving at times but a brilliant ending. Left me with an open mouth. would highly recommend.

Finished this excellent book in one day

Would you listen to The Fear again? Why?

Probably not. Although I think this an excellent book, once you know the conclusion, the gripping suspense would be defeated.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Fear?

Can't answer this as there are many surprising plot twists.

What about Clare Corbett’s performance did you like?

Easy to listen to.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The epilogue.

Any additional comments?

I like the layout of the plot. In most mysteries, the murder takes place and then the "who done it" is the body of the book. In this book the murder is at the end and you really don't know who the victim will be until the deed is done.
