About this listen

Some people get meet-cutes. I get a meet-crash.
When Vincent Forde rear-ends my car, I expect an apology—instead he tosses me a scowl that could melt steel and acts like I’m the problem.
Charming, right?

With his designer suit, smoldering glare, and ego the size of his bank account, Vincent is the very definition of an entitled bosshole.
I figure that’s the last I’ll ever see of Mr. Too-Rich-and-Ridiculously-Handsome.

Except life loves a good punchline.

Guess who struts into my brother’s engagement party like he owns the place?
Yeah, it’s Mr. I’m-Too-Sexy-To-Drive-Properly, lounging by the bar like he’s posing for GQ.
I think I hate him.

Only now, there’s something he wants from me.
There’s a rare perfume ingredient he desperately needs for his fragrance empire.
And Lord of the Scowl is willing to pay me ridiculous money to help get it.

Oh and he also wants me to pretend to be his girlfriend.
As if there’s anything remotely boyfriend-material about him.

Vincent might be the king of the scowl and a walking ego trip, but he’s offering me a deal I can’t refuse.

Even if it means pretending to like the guy who drives me insane.

The more we fake it, though, the more the line between acting and real starts to blur. His charm is aggravating. His confidence is infuriating. His smile is entirely too distracting.

This wasn’t part of the plan. I’m supposed to hate him, not want him. But pretending to be his perfect match is starting to feel all too real...

Perfect (Mis)Match is a sizzling enemies-to-lovers romance packed with sharp banter, fiery chemistry, and all your favorite tropes: billionaire bosshole, fake relationship, and brother’s best friend. With a grumpy, guarded hero and a heroine who’s more than ready to knock him down a peg, get ready for the perfect storm of wit, tension, and heart-stopping twists.

After a car crash, they both were ready to be enemies until it became advantageous to be in a fake a relationship when they met at Piper's step-brother's pre-wedding dinner. The narration was good but the male narrator can sound a bit forced with the dialog. But the story was good and so was the narration.

Piper and Vincent are total opposites. They literally bump into each other and tempers flair. This is a funny read with great characters. The narration is excellent and I look froward to reading and listening to more by Leslie North.

Vincent is a successful businessman who is focused on obtaining a unique scent that would be perfect for a perfume that he is creating. While attending a friend’s engagement party he is started to find that the woman he had a fender bender with that morning not only happens to be his friend’s sister, but she might just be able to help him with the perfume as well.

Piper is not happy to see Vincent after their altercation that morning and his second impression is not much better when he alternates between asking her to pretend to be his girlfriend and ignoring him. The tables are about to turn when he needs a favor and that is when the fun really begins.

Despite their different lifestyles and their less than ideal first meeting there is no denying the feelings they are developing for each other as they take us on a journey that includes humor, a little turmoil, and an unexpected love. Abigail Reno portrays the spunky personality of Piper while Christopher Ashman portrayed the grouchy side of Vincent.

Perfect (mis)Match is book one in the Manhattan Bossholes series. This book had a lot of different tropes. This book starts off as enemies to lovers. Piper gets into a finder binder with Vincent. Vincent Ford is the owner of a high-end perfume company. He is used to getting things his way. So, they don’t have the greatest first encounter. Then they meet again at a wedding rehearsal. Piper’s stepbrother is getting married. Vincent is friends with the groom. During the rehearsal Vincent asks Piper to be his fake new girlfriend. He needs access to rare flowers for his new perfume. The only way he is going to sign the contract is for Piper to continue to fake date him. They start spending more time together and learn that the other is horrible. They start falling for each other. The only problem is, Vincent doesn’t believe in forever love.

Abigail Reno and Christopher Ashman are both new narrators to me. They did an amazing job narrating this book.
