Single mom Sherry lives in a trailer park with her six-year-old son, Jake, trying to make ends meet as a waitress.

I love romance books and this book did not disappoint. Madison is rich and spoilt and when her nasty grandmother says she will disinherit her as she is not acting responsible, Madison decides to get a fake girlfriend, Sherry has a son who needs medical treatment but is struggling financially so Madison makes an agreement with Sherry to pretend to be a happy family and she will pay, but as time goes on a romance blossoms.

The narrator did a fantastic job.

I was delighted that, unlike in so many romance novels, Madison didn’t suddenly become a decent person rather than a privileged brat. There was a passage of time as well events that made the story convincing and thoroughly enjoyable

A beautiful slow burn romance showing that love overcomes all and money isn't everything. I enjoyed listening to this Happy Ever After and the narration was brilliant bringing together the characters struggles nicely.

Good but as so often happens the author completes the love story in a brief epilogue !
We are taken through a heartwarming tale only for it to be spoilt by wrapping everything up in an unsatisfactory few Paragraphs!
I see this happen so often that i believe no one takes any notice of reviews. It's in the plus catalogue so it's free to listen otherwise I'd of returned it feeling even more cheated !
