Desde su sugerente título, Niebla plantea un diálogo entre el yo y el mundo, sugiriendo esa idea poderosa del capitalismo, que se recoge desde el titulo: COMPRO ORO, es decir, comprar oro como signo del mundo contemporáneo para sobrevivir o enriquecerse. Pero en la estructura profunda del libro no existe ese afán financiero, sino su propia percepción de la cotidianidad íntima y personal. No le es ajeno ni el entorno ni su propia presencia frente a ese entorno.
A partir de esa contradicción entre el dinero y la ética, plantea la autora otra semántica que nace de lo particular, de la familia, de lo privado, de la mirada sobre lo esencial.
