Good Communication book.

Though this book does not pose this question directly, it is a question that I’ve had to reflect on while reading this book. And I haven’t really liked what I’ve been forced to admit - that many of the ways we communicate in our everyday life take from the well-being of other Wonderful book to use in both business relationships and personal ones. The tools are helpful in actually practicing good conversation techniques and bringing an atmosphere of transparency and honor into the cultures of homes and businesses alike.

Terrific listten. Usable Proscriptions.

I work in, quite possibly, one of the lowest-stress environments ever, but even so, there are times when things get a bit too tense in the shop, and you need to defuse a potentially career-ending situation quickly and safely without unnecessarily hurting anyone's feelings. We are building better relationships with our patients and potential patients which allows us to share what we can provide for them. That translates into more satisfied customers who refer more satisfied customers. If this book can help a dental office it can help any business.

Its power is in its simplicity!

A gem of a little self-improvement book. I love it when each sentence is one I can take in - instead of raking my brain trying to figure out what the author means An amazing “How To” guide to effectively communicate with anyone by listening with empathy. It shows how to be less judgmental in your listening and how to better understand the person to whom your speaking. I highly recommend this book if you have trouble opening up and finding the words to express yourself to your spouse. It may seem common sense to some people, but they have some really good questions to ask yourself and your spouse to make for a better relationship.

Must listen for everyone

This book is turning my personal and business conversations around to a whole new and wonderful level. It was recommended to me by an associate when she heard me say I felt my communication style was holding me back. She was spot on with her recommendation. The progress from start to finish was an easy path to track. The concept was easy to follow and implement. I felt the author went on a little to much about their own experience that led to this book and how they had to trial and error to perfect it. Great if you want a novel, drawn out slightly if you want the hard and fast facts.

You Need to listen This Book!

I was curious if this book was worth my precious time and mental effort, particularly because I am not in the world of business, keynote speaking, or of giving presentations or sales pitches. The answer is a resounding, "YES"! In fact I wish that I'd had this book six months ago! I work in the field of education and my mental processes are firmly fixed in the world of practical application.

Excellent book and relevant in so many ways!

This is a great primer for writing general proposals. It's chock full of information as well as being very readable. I read it in 2 evenings and was able to utilize what I found the day the book arrived. This is the best book to explain both strategy and "how" to write a competitive proposal. The other books on the subject are too basic, they are explaining math while the being competitive requires the ability to manipulate the math, thus algebra, in order to reach and influence the listen.

d

I thought this book would not be what I wanted but I'm thankful I decided to give it a try. Some of the principles I knew I had, but I realize most I don't. I believe that life is all about relationship. I know I can't connect with every but I want to enjoy the ones I do have. This book is the missing piece in my career. I've struggled to connect with co-workers because I'm a private person, but you don't have to share the intimate details of your life to connect with others professionally...it can be as simple as asking questions and taking an interest, finding common ground, etc.

Some good insights on learning !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

`Good book. Very respectfully written. Broke down situations and repeated each scenario so you really wrap your mind around each phase of the discussion. I was introduced to Vanessa Wickman ’ through his book, The Science of Learning. I found it both interesting and useful. I wondered if the information in this book would be the same, simply “repurposed.” It isn’t. While it has some of the same principles, the book is exactly what the title says, Accelerated Learning for Expertise. And, again, the information is very useful.

Great read on how to interact with people

I mean, I really have to laugh on some level. The difficult people I deal with would brush this kind of stuff aside with an effortless swish of the finger. The book curates a number of really very basic ideas that we'd all be familiar with in any case (e.g., using "I" phrases), and then gives a short story/skit in which the technique is demonstrated. This is a good book that actually trains you to use intelligent responses. I recommend it for high school, young adult and our wonderful senior citizens. Good book. Very respectfully written. Broke down situations and repeated each scenario so you really wrap your mind around each phase of the discussion.

Changed My Performance at Work!!!

This is a great, quick read that really puts excelling by not being entirely self-focused into perspective. In the past, when I've had to prepare presentations, I would always base them on what I wanted to the audience to know.

Basic and robotic

I really wanted to like this book, but the way that the narrator reads the book is robotic, unnatural, and somewhat monotone. Often times the emphasis of the sentence is placed in the wrong part of the sentence. Plus, especially as experienced at the beginning of the book, a lot of these concepts are basic and straightforward, and often absolute statements are made, which may not be properly founded. It does not state, quote, or cite any research basis. There is some good content here, especially if you struggle severely was communicating with other people, but if you’re looking for strategies in nuance to improve your communication, look elsewhere.
