  • Summary

  • Come Out, Come Out is a podcast about coming out of the closet, and it’s also a funny, joyful exploration of love, sex and the pursuit of happiness.

Each episode explores a real-life story of coming out from the perspectives of some fabulous guests, including superstar author Roxane Gay, Mae Martin from the hit Netflix series Feel Good, Survivor star Zeke Smith, The Half of It director Alice Wu, and many others.

The podcast offers fresh answers to the age-old questions of what it takes to love others and to love yourself. Every episode takes on questions that are deeply personal, completely unexpected and totally fascinating. How do you come out to your Chinese immigrant mom when she never taught you the word for lesbian in Mandarin? What’s it like to be outed as trans on a nationally-broadcast reality show? What do you do when watching the witches in the movie Hocus Pocus triggers sex dreams that you can’t control?

Hosted by standup comic Mo Welch, she details her own romantic life - from her first female crush to marrying another woman - and shares what she’s learned about love and life along the way.

Excellent

I really enjoyed it. It was refreshing. It is unusual to listen so honesty experiences. I identified myself with the chapters 6 and 9 but I enjoyed all of them. I hope to hear more QuickBooks like this. Great job. Congratulations!

absolute fave podcast and I am totally straight

This podcast is just totally excellent.
Mo has such a beautiful speaking voice and tells funny and interesting stories about her life growing up and discovering how to be gay.
The people she interviews have real insights to tell and I feel like I’ve learned a huge amount about the joy and pain and hilarity of their stories that I am not commonly exposed to in everyday life.

Loved it

I enjoyed the tone of the podcast, the questions, the guests and Mo's voice. I'm not gay and couldn't relate with anything (obviously), but I got educated in a very entertaining, non-intimidating way.
Wish there were more episodes!

repetitive

After a few episodes I was bored.
Nearly all about Lesbian relationships.
Very American-cultural bias.
