Creepy

A genuinely creepy story that compares well with the work of other masters of weird fiction, such as HP Lovecraft and Edgar Allan Poe. A white farmer in India is punished for his crass disrespect of a monkey god. A battle ensues between the mysterious powers of a deformed leper and the brute force of their English colonists. Rudyard Kipling is cited by horror writer Nail Gaiman as a major influence, and you can see why from this terrific little spine chiller. A crisp and well paced reading by B.J. Harrison.
