Summary

There are plenty of adventures to be had in Darrell's first term at boarding school. Life at Malory Towers is full of excitement - if only she can keep her terrible temper under control!

Darrell's back at boarding school and her classmates are full of surprises. Just who does new girl Daphne think she is? And is there really a thief at Malory Towers?

Two new girls have arrived at Malory Towers - and they couldn't be more different! Tomboy Bill spends more time with her horse than in the classroom, while American girl Zerelda seems determined not to fit in with the others. Darrell has an exciting term in store. Not only does her sister Felicity start at Malory Towers, she's made Head of the Fourth Year! But can Darrell live up to the responsibility of the role?

The Fifth Form is putting on a pantomime, and Darrell's writing it! But Cinderella doesn't always go smoothly. Which girl will get to play the lead? And who on earth is writing the producer anonymous letters?

New girl Amanda doesn't really fit in at Malory Towers. She's headstrong and arrogant - but is fantastic at games! Amanda's destined to swim for the Olympic team - but will she make it?

We know all the words

My 7 year old daughter says "I love listening to Mallory Towers it is the best thing I've ever listened to." She also really liked The Naughiest Girl stories. Worth getting the 6 stories in one go as it's on all the time and I think as a family we would go mad if it was just one story over and over again. Even so, it's on so much that we can all join in with the dialogue!

Fantastic

I bought this for my 8 yr old niece and she has been completely engrossed for hours ,relistening to this audio.

The story of Malory towers is a must for all girls ,it captures the imagination and the fun of being a girl and boarding school with all the problems of learning to live with others.

I read these books more than 40 years ago and now listening to them I realise they are timeless...

My daughter adores this audiobook

The only problem with my 7-year-old daughter loving it, is that she listens to it in bed and night...but it doesn't make her drop gently off to sleep! Last night when I checked on her at 11pm she was wide awake, thoroughly enjoying it.

I loved reading these stories as a child. They bring the boarding school world to life, making me and now my daughter eager to try it out. Despite the age of these stories, they have dated little in terms of engrossing, damn good tales.

The various narrators are well-chosen and the main adult narrator seems to me to be exactly right for reading a Blyton book.

One criticism of the audiobook is that often characters say something which is faded out, and not too gradually. It seems that the characters disappear mid-sentence, which I found rather annoying. However, my daughter has not remarked on it.

All in all, a good buy for girls and a great listen.

Mallory Towers Collection of 6 Stories

Enid Blyton just never goes out of date, always captures the imagination of the reader and leaves them wanting more, stories themselves presume the reader to be on the side of right, strong moralistic overtones that encourage thought provocation.

Malory Towers 👌😁👍

This audiobook is fantastic 👍😁.The mix of voices and narration is cleverly joined, and the story was cleverly written. The only downside is the abridgement. At some places, information is missing, and/or it doesn't make sense 😐😮🙁. I would recommend it for 8-11 year olds, although I have known a teenager to be in hysterical laughter 😂 at some of the tricks Alicia and Betty play! It also helps me sleep 😴 because the plot is entertaining but not too gripping!

Faultless Towers

Perfect! Our ten year old daughter loved it (and so did Mum!). Great stories and some useful underlying social lessons.
