Very young listeners will love this bright, whimsical children’s book by Peter Bennett Hills, which follows the titular Duck called Chatsworth - an extraordinary animal with a plethora of special skills, including a penchant for detecting - through some of his super-solver extraordinaire adventures.
Voice actor Richard Aspel brings Chatsworth to life in all his scheming, well-meaning glory with a performance that is both articulate and accessible. Aspel’s pacing is clear and easy to follow, while his acting is enjoyable but not excessive, bringing a light charm to this fun audiobook.
Summary
Chatsworth is no ordinary duck. He can: read an encyclopedia at a single glance, eat toast faster than you can butter it, save Mr. Piccoli's pet shop from financial ruin without ruffling a feather, and solve mysterious crimes in the blink of an eye.
