Acerca de la primera y única edición, hasta este momento, de Celia en la revolución dice Andrés Trapiello en su prólogo: "lo que sucedió con (este) libro fue misteriosísimo, un caso único. Apenas publicado, desapareció de las librerías y únicamente en el mercado de viejo ha ido apareciendo desde entonces, con cuentagotas, algún que otro ejemplar, siempre a precios fabulosos, de todo punto infrecuentes en un libro reciente, lo que habla de su carácter excepcional".

Libro por tanto, buscado, rebuscado y perseguido por lectores y coleccionistas de la serie de Celia pero que también, por su calidad, su calidez, su emoción y su justeza histórica y humana, libro que puede cautivar, que cautivará a cualquier lector exigente de literatura y no precisamente infantil.

Novela sobre la guerra civil, escrita poco después del fin de la guerra, en 1943, no hay en ella lugar para la distorsión ni la idealización de lo vivido. Estas páginas no solo nos cuentan la vida difícil y llena de peripecias de una adolescente Celia en un Madrid sitiado, entre la supervivencia y la revolución, son también una suerte de crónica autobiográfica de la propia Elena Fortún.

I have read about the Spanish civil war broadly but this is possibly the most real read that I’ve come across.

A very credible and surprisingly insightful book. I wish I could continue reading the following books too
