Summary

When I was little, I dreamed my life would be a fairy tale. But it just so happens that I don't need a knight in shining armor to save me anymore. I'm made of freaking steel.

It's time for answers. Time for vengeance. And time to finally unmask the notorious V. There's no going back now.

Happily Ever After?

I loved reading this series, just a shame their wasn't more.
Would have loved to know if Miles and Summer eventually settled down and overcame everything by somehow starting over, forgetting the past and having a family of their own somehow.

Oh my mercy!

This was so hard to listen to....like a train wreck that you have to see to the end but you can’t believe that you’re still watching. She COULD NOT possibly be so stupid as not to realize who he was. That was absolutely painful to drag out for so long! And with so many obvious close calls. It overshadowed all the good parts of the story. Sigh. I need to find something funny now.

**Eye Roll** Don't Waste Your Time!

This series was painful to get through, many eye rolls on my end... The storyline had such promise, but poorly executed. The book was full of JR. High dialogue, with ADULT themes.. explicit sex, language and situations (Do those things go together, NOPE! Teenage conversations, in adult situations BLEH.) I have been spoiled by authors who really know how to use proper language to tell a story, such as Nora Roberts, Irene Hannon, Robyn Carr, Preston and Child, Mary Higgins Clark.. (Need I go on?). The conversations in the protaginist's head and other characters were redundant, and silly. If you are going to write on mature subject matter, please please get a great editor to support that premise.

The book for the most part was predictable to the ridiculous!

The only reason I stuck it through was to finish the story.

Purely ridiculous.

Loved the book, and series!

This book, better yet, this series was so incredibly fantastic that I am actually sad that Summer/Sadie’s story is finished. I loved these characters, every one of them. (Well, with the exception of the villain.) I want to be friends with them. I loved the two “besties” who basically stole some great scenes. I laughed, cried, and even got angry at times. Ivy knows how to pull at your heartstrings and keep you on the edge of your seat. It’s hard to have a favorite character because you want them all to be happy. I thought I loved her first series (The Hunted), but this was my all time favorite. I will definitely be listening to them again.

I am still not used to Elizabeth’s male voices, but she’s so great at everything else that you can give her a free pass on it. 😊

Held Hostage

I love books, I even like series however, each book in a series should have an actual ending. This "series " should have been one book. I was so disappointed at being forced not only to buy three books but loose so many hours I'll never get back. The drama was so stretched out I sometimes forgot what was going on. The main character was so weak and ridiculous it was distracting. Was she meant to be a slut? Three guys, several times? Come on get real. How Miles could put up with her flighty loyalties takes him down a peg or three. Why must women in books be so ridiculous. I don't think I'll ever read a book (or six) by this author again. That all being said, the narration was tops!

good but

This was a pretty good series, except for it's very repetative throughout all the books. and main character is really wishy-washy. I think this could have been done in one book. The narrator did a pretty good job, but definitely needs to slow down a little and take a breath. Especially between sentences and paragraphs. I think I hung in because the story is intriguing and I wanted to know how the story played out.

Could have been one book

Author drug it out way to long. I finally gave up and skipped to the end of the 3 rd book. Would have been good if it was one book instead of 3.

Unrealistic Story

This is a 3 part story that could and should have been written all in one book. I always finish books I start, that being the only reason I listened to the complete series. The books are repetitive and unrealistic. The Summer character to not recognize Miles as V even after having sex with “both” and not realizing it’s the same person is just unbelievable. The constant back and forth of I love you , I hate you is unnecessarily repetitive. The Liza character is probably the best under utilized character of the series. It is never explained how V found Liza’s network for him to hack and it didn’t make sense that he has this hi-tech apartment yet was unable to create his own surveillance system. I would not recommend this series.
