Il racconto fatto in prima persona dalla vittima suscita spesso nel lettore la riflessione: ma come ha fatto a non pensarci? Se fosse capitato a me...

Dunque, se c'è una morale nel libro, è questa: state attenti. Non tutti i vampiri si nutrono di sangue solo sul piano materiale.
