This is a useful start in Cantonese; my partner is a native speaker and this helps me get my tongue around some of the sounds and basic phrases.

A useful primer

If you depended on this audio to help you with communicating in Hong Kong or parts of Malaysia in my case , you would have been led astray due to a few inaccuracies . For example under "Transport" section , you hear the English phrase "When does it leave " not detailing what mode of transport is used , yet in the Cantonese translation afterwards , the speaker says " when does the train leave " . Now if you were not familiar with Cantonese , you would have sounded ridiculous asking about another mode of transport , for example , a bus , and saying " when does the train leave " ! Then there are a few other expressions I haven't heard of and I own a few Cantonese phrasebook and accompanying CDs . The Berlitz Cantonese CD with the phrasebook is better because it is more accurate .

Poorly Edited as contains a few inaccuracies
