Quick but needs some context

I have read only a few pages of this book. I began reading this at a very critical phase of my life. The little that I listen encouraged me and helped to strengthen my belief in the power of the creator. The power of the creator resides within me with whom I am linked.

Perfect for therapists!

I have meditated for a few years, and have attended a ten day Vipassana retreat/course, so I am not new to meditation. But when asked by friends about the essence of mindfulness, I have always found it difficult to do so.

simply great! to the point and easy to follow.

As someone long familiar with Buddhism but not yet over the hump in terms of a regular sitting practice, this is the book that (finally) got me over that hump. She writes clearly and cogently...in a way that makes you both understand her point but also curious to find your own truths in meditation. I finished the book and just thought

Great for beginning Buddhist

This is a very good introductory book about Buddhism. This book is written in a simple language and easy to listen. It would be nice to have a glossary of English translation of the ancient words at the back of the book.

The Concepts of Buddhism

Lawrence Wallace does a great job of highlighting the basics of Buddhism. I was thoroughly impressed that the author was able to introduce everyday actions and ideas to help improve your principal way of life. He places emphasis that Buddhism is not a religion, but a life choice.

Perfect place to start inquiry into Buddhism

Originally, I downloaded a sample of the book. I didn't get that much out of the sample. After completing the sample there was some information about a podcast by the author. I decided to give it a listen while working around the house.

Great starter for beginners

Fantastic Book. As a neurologist, I have spent the past three years studying and understanding many mindfulness and acceptance techniques that have their foundation in Buddhism and have been clinically proven to have pervasive health benefits

I wish I could give it ten stars

. Namely - to get our genes into the next generation. As such, the psychological evolution of human beings has also been shaped by this drive. Generally speaking, human beings want more. More power, more money, more stuff.

Great starter for beginners

How do you write something new and fresh about a topic that has been analyzed down to its toenails? Originally, I downloaded a sample of the book. I didn't get that much out of the sample. After completing the sample there was some information about a podcast by the author. I decided to give it a listen while working around the house.
