Every one of us is made in the image of God. We are unique, we are worthy of love, and we are called to greatness. In this world, though, it can be easy to be distracted from that truth and begin to doubt God's love is real. We live in a world that tells us we are not smart enough, not pretty enough, not sexy enough, not rich enough, not thin enough, and don't have enough friends.

Summary
Only two in 10 Americans under 30 believe attending a church is important or worthwhile. Well over half of young adults raised in the Church have dropped out, with many having a strong anti-Church stance, many even believing the Church does more harm than good. Fr. Josh Johnson was one of these people. In Broken and Blessed, he tackles the harsh realities facing the Church in the 21st century.
With charity and courage, he speaks to his own generation of Catholic millennials, who often feel their needs and concerns are not being addressed by the Church or simply do not believe the Catholic faith has any relevance to their lives. Using his own experiences, both as a former struggling young Catholic and as a priest, Fr. Josh offers an inspiring witness of how he came to know God, rather than just knowing about him, and presents practical ways for us to truly know God as well.
Broken and Blessed:
- Addresses head-on millennials' most pressing issues with the Catholic faith
- Presents powerful and inspiring stories from Fr. Josh's own faith journey
- Shows how one can truly encounter Jesus in a personal way
- Offers practical insights on how to overcome habitual sins
- Discusses the nature of prayer, as well as the challenges to prayer and how to overcome them

Father Josh
I would like to congratulate you on this excellent book. I first heard you on the Abiding Together Podcast. My daughter recommended your book as she had downloaded it on to audible - so I did the same. I love your methods of praying as well as the analogies you use. I have also bought it for my sister. Will be recommending it to others too. You have a good and clear voice too. Thank you for taking the time to write this book. May God Bless you in your work.

Excellent
I was expecting social commentary and religion. While it did have some of this, it was so much more. Instead it was a love letter from the Church to the Laity, a love letter from God to Humanity, and had some of the best spiritual development tips I have ever heard at the end of each Chapter. I loved this. Thank you, Father John!!!!

I’ve been going through Trent Horn, Frank Sheed, and Scott Hahn books like crazy. I saw this title and I was a little curious because I’ve seen Fr Josh on a YouTube video a while back and I had an extra credit to spend.
This book has changed my life. I have a much healthier and closer relationship with Jesus Christ. Many catholic writings are so knowledgeable and helpful, but Fr Josh details such a beautiful and prayerful approach. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever experienced.
