About this listen

Do you want to improve asthma symptoms, tackle chronic pain, or live without repercussions of long COVID? Then the deep breathwork techniques included within this book might be the simple answer for you.

About 12 percent of the population in the United Kingdom suffers from asthma, along with about 300 million worldwide and 20 million in the USA. Due to inflammation, the muscles around air passages put pressure on the small airways, causing shortness of breath, coughing, and tightness in the chest. The triggers for these symptoms vary depending on the individual, and they can significantly impact the severity of asthma symptoms. In this book, you will discover the many benefits of regular breathwork practice, to improve lung health, ease your shortness of breath, but also more widely to overcome pain and have a more compassionate self-perception with better mental health and self-awareness. Breathing retraining programs not only alleviate asthma symptoms but also improve the overall quality of life of patients.

The added benefit of these programs included within each chapter, as with all breathwork techniques, is that they can be delivered through self-guided digital audio, which helps people take control of their breathing patterns in the comfort of their homes. We will help you get started with some simple breathing techniques so you can get the benefits and confidently get your breathing under control, to start living the life you imagine.

This book will prove that we can ultimately change our well-being and state of health and mind by learning how to manipulate our breath.

It's incredible, really, how little we know about how much information can help us. The context and history it gives are what I appreciate most about this book. The human body and the resources it contains are vastly underappreciated. If you're taking care of your health by simply breathing, that's fantastic. What seems like an automatic and unremarkable act, breathing evenly, can actually do a lot to help us centre ourselves and maintain equilibrium. In addition, the book is well-written and easy to follow. Fantastic work!

You never imagine that you need to be taught how to breathe until you do. If like me you have had to deal with asthma, you know how that can be a task sometimes. Here, I was able to get some exercises that reduce the number of breaths I take and keep my airways open longer so that more air is able to flow in and out of the lungs. I didn't even know that was possible. This book is incredible!

Simple yet so useful

Breathing well is also central to meditation, relaxation, and other practices that slow down the aging process and feel great while you're doing it. As a nurse, I know that for people with COPD and asthma, breathing techniques are very important specially the pursed lip breathing technique, and alternate nasal breathing. This audio is at the top of my recommendations both for the well described breathing techniques AND for the guided meditations.

I wish I had found this sooner. amazing content. As someone who has suffered from asthma all my life I've tried many methods to improve my athletic performance but I've always had my breathing hold me back. After listening to this book it's really obvious what was going wrong. in now following the programs and after only a few days I'm noticing changes.

I was fortunate enough to grow out of my asthma when I was around ten because of sports activities involving running, like baseball. Listening to this audiobook, I reflect on the breathing activities my coach had me do when I first began playing baseball. The coach had us do relaxation exercises to improve our breathing and concentration on the stretching exercises before practice and games. This audiobook helps correct breathing that can help a person recover from the long COVID-19 virus. Breathing exercises will force air into the lower regions of your body and the bloodstream. Breathing exercises are different yet similar to other meditation methods. I practice these exercises in the morning before work and wind down before bed at night.
