I loved the inspirational examples (and narration) of Bounce Back Better and found this a very useful and helpful book - especially around stress and most importantly, how to take the steps that move us forward.

It provides lots of tools and examples as well as the rationale behind why the strategies work, and even includes why simply asking for help can be so effective.

For me the personal boundary chapter with the examples of how to set them was a huge help as well as dealing with the expectations of others.

It’s a great book that provides a path beyond our blocks which are not hard once we know what to do and what they are - and this is what this book teaches us. I loved it!

I absolutely enjoyed this book. Matthews delves into the best ways to be resilient and adaptable and hits the nail on the head. I dig the positive vibe of the audio. He stresses the importance of growth mindset, managing stress, and emotional intelligence. My favorite part was utilizing the phrase emotional agility. Great concept I can walk away and use right away.

The book is very well-structured. I appreciate how it explains what resilience is and why it is important. It’s not a quality you’re born with, but something everyone can build, as the book says, "like building muscle." One tip I really like is the concept of "micro goals." Sometimes I find myself intimidated by the large goals I set for myself because they are big and hard to achieve in a short amount of time. Breaking down the goal into many micro goals or mini steps not only makes the big goal easier to achieve but also motivates me to take action. This is just one of the many helpful tips the book shares.
