Trivial but entertaining
The ending is totally predictable. But this is an entertaining short listen if you're doing something else and need a background book (eg doing the ironing or out for a walk). Be prepared to ignore the clichés.

Gorgeous
This is one of the sweetest love stories I have heard and it is not at all gooey. The balance of humour and the spark between Ali and Max is brilliant. I’d love to know if the author has written more - either about the Romano family who sound brilliant or other books. I adored this one.

Disappointingly rushed plot
In my opinion it feels like the main character doesn’t protest to anything. You say fetch she says how high 🙄 The plot moves wayyyyy too fast like met and 24 hours later they’re planning for 70 years. That’s crazy considering the MC’s past. It’s too bad cause I remember liking the last book I listened to from this author. This one is infuriating, she’s basically given no choice and just goes along with it. Ew

Nonsense
Ridiculous and unbelievable characters. Laughable character names . Read by hammy actors. Time I will never get back! Although I can thank this book for putting me to sleep at least 4 times.
