Summary

Der Wiener Psychiater Jakob Levy Moreno gilt als der Begründer der Gruppenpsychotherapie und er ist der Vater des Psychodramas: eine therapeutische Methode, in der Lebenssituationen oder Phantasien szenisch dargestellt werden, um sie neu zu erleben und sich aus festgefahrenen Rollenstrukturen zu befreien. Moreno, ein Arzt mit religiösen Überzeugungen und großem sozialen Verantwortungsgefühl, war eine schillernde Persönlichkeit. Er demonstrierte in Nervenkliniken, stürmte Theatervorstellungen, gründete mehrere Stegreiftheater und arbeitete in Flüchtlingslagern, Gefängnissen oder Jugendheimen. 1925 emigrierte er in die USA.

Dorothea Marcus stellt Morenos bewegtes Leben und die Grundlagen des Psychodramas vor, spricht mit dem Moreno-Forscher Christoph Hutter und Gretel Leutz, die in Überlingen eines der zwei deutschen Moreno-Institute gegründet hat. Aber auch der 1974 gestorbene Moreno selbst kommt zu Wort. Awesome story, it could have been longer

This is a nice intro for someone who has never heard of psychodrama but doesnt give enough detail to dig in
