I really enjoyed the book and when I heard that last sentence, I wondered if it was leaving a door open for a sequel and immediately checked back here. Now I just have to wait for the rest of the trilogy and hope they are as engaging and entertaining!

Interesting!!! a good read....

This was geared towards the Twilight lot, but it was still a good listen. I really like it when it's almost like a radio play and they add sound effects, I find it brings much more of an atmosphere to the ears!

Typical boy meets girl, nobody understands them kind of thing; but added deep South history which made it more interesting.

This is one of the rare occassions where the film is better than the book. Of course, we get more details and a more indepth story, but it's actually worse than the film. The ending doesn't really resolve, the story is convoluted and the additional details actually don't add up and there is a lot of loose ends. The reading was a bit strange, i can't put my finger on it, but it made the characters even more annoying than they already were. for some reason both Lena and Ethan are pretty flat and lifeless, not enough clear character development, or at least not written well enough to be satiafying and relatable. I like the idea of the story, love the southern elements. I like a good coming of age story, so I enjoyed it enough to listen through, but I enjoy the film way more than the book and I feel disappointed.

film better written

So well narrated and so well structured and put together. Forget the casting element! For those who have lived outside the 'click' of the popular what ever your age you will feel such empathy with Lena ... You cannot help but fall in love with Ethan and Lena and their outcome as well as the supporting characters! So much better than the film which doesn't really do the book as much justice as it should.

Brilliantly beautiful
