Couldn't get used to the narration....

The narration is slightly better than those text-to-voice softwares. I didn't expect a performance in a non-fiction book, but it's so robotic, it's annoying....

Helpful book that gives you back the power

I found this book to be a very helpful take on living with anxiety — one that’s based in the principles of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure therapy, and mindfulness. From the get-go, the author puts the power back in your hands, stating that emotions, behaviors, and thoughts all work together to influence how much (or how little) anxiety we experience. The author is careful not to suggest that medication cannot help, yet spends most of her time focusing on what the reader can do him or herself, with or without the assistance of medication. I found that to be refreshing and encouraging. In the end, all the tactics the author provides give the reader hope; hope that he or she can improve his or her condition on his/her own, or, at the very least, that things will get better in one way or another. It’s time to stop avoiding what we fear and start listening to our anxiety to inspire action in our lives. This book cleverly shows us how. -Brian Sachetta Author of “Get Out of Your Head”

Absolutely, undoubtably, the best anxiety book

This is the best anxiety book I’ve ever listen to or read. And believe me I have read and listen to a lot of books over the last 20 years. The only negative I can say is that the narrator is a bit robotic. But believe me if you can get past that you got a winner

should help with anxiety

It is worth a listen and I believe it is well intended. A good perspective and refresher to be mindful and exercise. Also good resource List. I haven't checked them yet but I hope they are current. One area that wasn't discussed was the importance of play. I was exhausted listening to how much I would have to practice to overcome anxiety and find peace. I couldn't wait to get done with the book and color. One point that I took away is to give up eliminating anxiety. For me that could turn out to be a big step in living life more fully.

I loved this book. It is absolutely helpful

Honestly the most helpful book I have read this year. Made me feel so much better and increased my understanding of anxiety. I will read it many more times. Buy it for anyone you love that struggles with anxiety.

Just ok

It is a good book, however I was waiting for a different content, more focus on mindfulness than on disorder treatments. Anyhow, it is a well written and practical book.
