In this clear, readable, and informative guide, Momen provides a vibrant introduction to all aspects of this fast-expanding faith, which now has over seven million adherents. Editor reviews

The Bahai'i faith centers on its belief that all human spirituality comes from one God, and therefore stresses the unity of all with the guiding principles of tolerance and acceptance. Moojan Momen provides a handy introduction for newcomers hoping to gain greater understanding of the monotheistic religion's beliefs and practices, using comprehensive quotations from founders Baha'u'llah and his son Abdu'l-Baha, who helped to spread the religion worldwide. Miranda Nation gives Momen's descriptions a clean and respectful sensibility, and her performance creates a welcoming atmosphere for listeners intrigued by the philosophies of the Bahai'i.

I have been a member of the Baha’i Faith for 50 years and this Bolinda Beginner Guide is excellent, as it is well written, accurate and clearly audible. It is also easy to listen to in terms of its style. It details how many regard religion as a byword for intolerance and superstition. However, the author proposes that religion, if administered in conformity with the growing intellectual needs of a modern global society, is capable of creating a Golden Age, but only if the guidance revealed by Baha’u’llah is heeded.
I would recommend this book to anyone who wishes to find out about the Baha’i Faith, and its relevance to the challenges facing humanity in the 21st century and beyond.
I have no hesitation in awarding 5 stars to this book, for its clear and concise message, beautifully expressed.
