"Name's Corey Smith," the serial killer said, introducing himself with a smile aimed over Boo's back straight at Flannery Sommers.

The Friday night preview feature of the local comic-con wasn't worth the gasoline it took to bring them there. Until Baby arrived. They had Baby in a muzzle contraption and were escorting him down the hall toward the fountain as if he were Hannibal Lecter.

Olive could tell the exact moment Baby saw Boo by the gasp of the crowd. Then by the bull's bellow and Boo's scream. Baby bellowed like the bull he was. Boo bayed like the wolf she wasn't.

Six delightful and silly short stories about the sisters Olive and Flannery Summers, their dopy dog Boo Radley and his love for the miniature long horned bull, Baby (plus the mule and le and a couple of cats). That dog goes everywheretow, or sometimes, left behind.

Narration is superbly performed by Steve Cook who squeezes every drop of humour out of his reading, pulling the reader right into the center of each bizarre happening. This was a freely gifted, complimentary copy for anyone to download from the Free Audiobook Codes website. Suitable for all ages, it is refreshingly quirky and a jolly good read. Recommended
