A sudden rush of bluefin has moved in south of Montauk sending small-boaters scurrying for the first tuna of the year. A strengthening run of fluke has joined the giant stripers at Block Island, giving greater incentive to take the ride. Big bonito continue to race around Cape Cod, while summertime shore sharking is firing up in Nantucket Sound. Stripers to 49 inches are marauding the mackerel schools along the Massachusetts South Shore… and finally, the Rhody squid run continues this week and it’s fueling explosive action for fluke and stripers from Newport to Point Jude!
