The Power of Identification

Welcome back to The Exchange.

In our first episode, we talked about the heavy bags we carry—the fear, the exhaustion, the need for control. This week, we are moving from the 'why' to the 'what.' We can’t trade a burden we refuse to acknowledge. Today, we are talking about how to name the weight so we can finally lay it down. (Reflecting on 2 Corinthians 12:9) I’ve been meditating on 2 Corinthians 12:9 this week. It’s such a counter-intuitive verse, isn't it? We spend so much of our lives trying to hide our weaknesses, to look like we have it all together—especially as women juggling homes, businesses, and responsibilities. But Paul tells us that Christ’s power is actually made perfect in our weakness. This means that the moments you feel most exhausted, or the areas where you feel like you're failing? Those are the exact places where God is waiting to step in. Your weakness isn't an obstacle to the exchange; it’s the invitation.

The "Weakness Audit" For this week’s exchange, I want to challenge you to do a 'Weakness Audit.

• Identify: At the end of each day, write down one thing that made you feel weak or overwhelmed.

• Surrender: Instead of trying to fix it with more self-reliance, pray: 'Lord, this is where I am weak. I am trading this frustration for Your grace.'

• Notice: Watch how His peace changes your perspective on that specific struggle."

You don't have to carry it all. His grace really is sufficient, even for the messiest parts of your week.

Thank you for joining me for this episode of The Exchange. If this resonated with you, subscribe and share it with a friend who needs to be reminded that they don't have to be strong on their own.

Let’s keep trading the heavy for the holy.
