Basin and Towel uses John 13, where Jesus washes his disciples feet, as a model for leadership in today's Church, through the anabaptist/pietist lens of the Church of the Brethren. we will focus on developing and equipping Christ-centered leaders to serve today while anticipating the challenges of tomorrow. Although we will use our unique identity as a starting place for these conversations, we will bring in a variety of voices whose perspectives may not be our own. It is our sincere hope that this can become a place of curiosity, discovery, and learning for the Church, united as one body under Jesus, as we seek to not only create disciples, but empower church leaders to affirm the unique abilities, skills, and talents of those around them to enable the flourishing of the neighborhoods they inhabit.
