Summary

Some bridges cross rivers. This one crosses time.

Ten-year-old Ray has always lived in the shadow of “someday.” His grandfather’s house is a labyrinth of dusty boxes and forgotten stories, but Ray is the only one who notices the humming floorboards and the way the shadows seem to whisper his name. When he discovers a heavy, willow-shaped iron key hidden beneath a loose plank, he unlocks a secret much older than the house itself.

Following a scent of peppermint through a mysterious backyard mist, Ray finds himself standing on an invisible arch: The Bridge of Yesterdays.

Across the water lies a world of gaslit streets, clock towers that run backward, and a marketplace where memories are the only currency. But this nostalgic wonderland is crumbling. His long-lost Aunt Martha is trapped at the bridge’s foundation, and a group of cold, mechanical Time-Keepers are closing in.

To save the future, Ray must navigate the treacherous River of “What If” and face a shadow version of himself that thrives on forgotten dreams. With the help of a spunky girl named Clementine, Ray must decide what he’s willing to sacrifice to find his way home. Because on the Bridge of Yesterdays, every step forward requires letting go of a piece of the past.
