About this listen

Good morning. Maine. I'm DJ Huzz. Folks, yesterday was absolutely bonkers. Eight locations smashed daily heat records. Woodland Hills hit 90 degrees. Burbank, 94. Downtown LA, 91. That's late July heat. In February. A stubborn ridge of high pressure parked over us, pumping offshore winds and pushing temps 48 degrees to 48 degrees above normal. In the next 24 hours. But that ridge? It's packing its bags. Onshore flow creeps back this afternoon as the whole pattern slides east. Think of it like the ocean finally exhaling toward the land again. The coast feels it first. Inland. Not so fast. Down in San Diego, you wake up to 60 degrees under clear skies. Sunshine carries you to 81 by midday with gentle south winds. A pleasant Saturday by any measure. Head north to Greater LA and it's warmer. You're starting at 63, climbing to 87 by early afternoon. Tonight cools to 58 degrees. Now the Inland Empire. Still cooking. Mostly sunny, high near 90 degrees, with west winds gusting to 20 miles an hour. That marine air hasn't muscled its way past the passes yet. Give it a day. Sunday is when you really notice the shift. LA drops to 80. San Diego, 77. Even the Inland Empire eases to 85. Patchy fog rolls along the coast Sunday night into Monday morning. Remember fog? It's been a while. Monday delivers the real cooldown. Valley highs in the low 70s. Coastal spots settle into the 60s. Gusty west winds rip through mountain passes and desert corridors Sunday into Monday. Gusts to 40 miles an hour. Secure anything loose in the yard. Tuesday through Thursday, temperatures creep back up a few degrees each day under sunny skies. Mid week highs land in the mid to upper 70s. and rain? Not a drop in sight through mid March. If yesterday's records caught your attention, a quick rating helps other locals find us too. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. Stay safe, stay prepared. and enjoy the day.
