The kind that makes you question if winter ever happened. but don't get too comfortable. A cold front is barreling through this afternoon. and it's bringing winter's curtain call. In the next 24 hours. South Central Kansas? You're the winner today. Wichita climbs to 76 degrees under brilliant sunshine. That's flip-flop weather. That's windows-down weather. Sunday turns messy. Cold air rushes in from the northeast while moisture rides up and over it. Northeast Kansas sees snow by midday, mixing to rain by afternoon. Highs only reach 40. South Central stays mostly rainy at 47 degrees. Western Kansas sits at 42 with a chance of sleet. The week ahead? Unsettled. Multiple rounds of rain and storms Tuesday through Thursday. Some areas could see two to three inches by week's end. One heads up for today. Fire danger is elevated across central and southeast Kansas. Warm, dry, breezy conditions raise the risk before Sunday's rain arrives. In Sunrise was at 6, 54 this morning. Sunset at 6:10. We're gaining over two minutes of daylight daily now.
