About this listen
Children of Anzulla is a crossover from Kashel Char's New Beginnings M/M series and is recommended for pre-read.
DRAXTON:
Have you ever looked for something you know is there but can't find it?
I was born to explore caves, and when it comes to finding the door to another reality, I become a tire-screeching, hyper-focused maniac.
When I use my charm, I know, no one can refuse me, especially when I'm wearing my sexy jean shorts and wide-brimmed hat, even if I pair them with flip-flops.
I will do anything to secure an extension to explore the Star Caves, nestled in the Cradle of Mankind, South Africa. With my grandfather's map in hand, I set out to barter for more time.
The plan was simple. Entice, seduce, and bribe the man responsible for my future. He accepted the bribe, my priceless map, but as soon as he started showing up at the site, he refused my body, three times!
KELLAN:
How do you keep a bubble from popping when you want to catch it? Easy, don’t try to catch it at all.
I’m so in love with Draxton, and I would do anything to keep him a bit longer. How will I do that if I have to protect him while he’s going on all these missions to help my brother free Atlas, a dragon who was the only one who could take us back home?
WARNING: The narrative includes death, grief, burning, perilous mind torture situations, graphic language, and gay sexual activities are shown on the page.
One of the main characters has a high-functioning level-one autism diagnosis, suffering from mild hyperacusis (sound sensitivity).
Those sensitive to these elements should take note and prepare to escape reality and face the storm.

Fantastic narration by Jonathan Waters. The relationship between Draxton and Kellan forms the heart of the story. Draxton’s unwavering focus and neurodivergent way of navigating the world beautifully contrast with Kellan’s cautious, protective nature, creating a slow-burn romance filled with hesitation, longing, and restraint. Char thoughtfully portrays Draxton’s level-one autism as a meaningful part of his character—insightful, lived-in, and never reducing him to just his condition. The worldbuilding is rich and expansive, featuring Titans, dragons, interdimensional travel, ancient civilizations, and systemic oppression. Char courageously explores violence and moral complexity, especially as rescue missions and efforts to liberate others reveal the heavy costs of secrecy and the abuse of power.
