About this listen
We bring you a Hockey Day Minnesota exclusive as we interview two current NCAA Division 3 players and Minnesota Hockey products in Carter & Jordan Newpower. We discuss growing up playing youth hockey for their hometowns, their transition into junior hockey where they were teammates for two seasons and now what it is like to be rivals in the MIAC conference.
We also previewed the matchups that are set for Hockey Day Minnesota in the host city of Hastings. Plus, all new quick hits none bigger than Chris Drury signaling to Rangers fans that they are entering a "retooling phase" which comes at the expense of moving on from Artemi Panarin.
A couple more big trades were made with one of the players being acquired by a surprise trade contender in the San Jose Sharks.
Nugent-Hopkins and Killorn played their 1000th games, Jonanthan Toews returned to Chicago to an overwhelming ovation from the fans.
We had a goalie fight with Bobrovsky taking on Nedelkevic, Jackson LaCombe replaced Seth Jones on Team USA due to injury, and Buffalo finally has found a player that wants to commit to them long term in Josh Doan
