The Opus Starship has launched into space holding humanity's finest onboard. Earth has been deemed uninhabitable and the search for a new home planet has begun. Lady Vega and the Elite have a vested interest in maintaining the status quo while Peryl (Pearl) Starlight and the Unmarked fight for change. Will humanity fall into the same patterns of self-destruction or create a new way of life, as we know it.

The explored themes in the book are fun and intriguing. It was a bit confusing at times but overall an enjoyable read.

This story to me read like a legend or parabel in that the characters were somewhat one dimensional in their being 'good' or 'bad', as well as the clear lessons we are meant to learn from it. I enjoyed this story, and would have liked more on the research into the - well, spoiler - new 'character' we meet towards the end.

The narrator did a good job with the different voices and used the right pacing.

Almost a parabel

I was given a free copy to review. I thought the story was interesting but some characters mind changing at times felt a bit rushed. I also had to write out the family tree to help me remember who all the characters were. The narrator was a little hard to follow at first, until I got used to it, with an accent unfamiliar to me. There were some original sci fi elements though and the story wrapped up nicely. An enjoyable listen.

Shortish story covering family and class rivalries on an ark ship headed for a new home

I could believe that this story could become reality one day.

I could believe that no matter where, the corruptable will corrupt, and they'll kill off anyone that against them.

Good story, with a good pace. Recommend for fantasy users.

Good Pace, plenty of intrigue

The story was interesting and had a deeper meaning behind it, regarding our current world and where it is leading if we do not change. I did not like the main character, as it felt like he was not the hero of the story, but the author has pushed him to be the hero without real merit or skills. The main character arc was a bit shallow, and the dynamic between him, his grandfather and uncle felt lacking in depth. Overall, a good story with deeper meanings, but the execution was a bit lacking.

Fine book
