About this listen

You are invited to the most glamorous event of the year. But this dream wedding is about to turn into a nightmare.

I should have known a fairy-tale ending was too much to hope for.

Marrying Suraj Sharma — billionaire, golden boy and the man who plucked me from obscurity — was meant to be my fresh start.

A new life. A clean slate.

But as I stand on the edge of the most extravagant wedding imaginable, the past I thought I'd buried begins to claw its way back.

It began with anonymous texts and threatening letters in the post.

And ends with a scream ripping through the resort on the eve of the ceremony. A body falling from the cliffs.

Now, my dream wedding is a crime scene.

They say it was an accident. But I know the truth . . .

Initially, I found it very difficult to get a hold of the storyline. After reaching chapter 14 and restarting again (twice!), I pushed forward and the story began to unfold. I can see why it was written in the way that it was (jumping all over the place in time). It was a disguise to hide what turned out to be a straightforward thin mystery, interesting ploy - it fooled me. One sentence a character used put me onto what was actually happening, after that opener everything just fell into place and I found I was getting bored by the waffle used to drag the story out. I listened to the book all in one go (the thought of losing the thread and having to go back again was daunting).

As for the epilogue: Parts 1 & 2 felt irrelevant, part 3 was very straightforward compared to the main book, if a little long and seemed to wander away from the book (could easily have been a sequal instead). Part 4 was the only bit I was interested in knowing after the story finished. An OK listen but not one I will go back to again. Clear narration throughout.

Confusing at first

I enjoyed this book and it was free, the mixture of lives cultures poverty and riches was interesting. I did feel a bit like Miss Marple trying to work out the twists. Enjoy and thank you

Renita D’Silva’s The Dream Wedding is an emotional and unforgettable listen. Her storytelling is rich and layered, exploring love, loss, and the secrets that can shape a family’s destiny. The writing feels both intimate and cinematic, drawing the listener deeply into each character’s journey.

Natalie Dew and Jess Nesling deliver exceptional performances, perfectly capturing the shifts in tone and emotion throughout. Their narration adds depth and warmth, making the experience truly immersive.

A beautifully crafted story with heart, mystery, and authenticity. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys reflective, emotional storytelling that lingers long after the final chapter.

Really gripping!
