Summary

The BRAND NEW heartwarming listen from the author of the NUMBER ONE BESTSELLER The Last List of Mabel Beaumont, perfect for fans of One Day, Taylor Jenkins Reid's Maybe in Another Life and Cecelia Ahern!

‘Warm, wise and deeply insightful, I adored every page.’ No.1 bestselling author, Shari Low

What if the answer to one little question could change your whole life?

Soon after Anna goes on the best date of her life with a man called James – she and her best friend Nia visit a fortune teller. Who tells Nia that she will have one great love. But all she tells Anna is that her future is with a man whose name begins with a J.

It won’t be James though – he never calls. And then Anna meets Edward – gorgeous, kind, loving. He’s all she’s ever dreamed of. Until he asks her to make a choice about their future.

If Anna says ‘yes’ to him, her life will go one way. If she says ‘no’, it’ll go another. Both of the worlds could be happy. Both of the worlds could be heartbreaking… But as Nia meets her one great love in both worlds, which of Anna’s answers – yes or no – will bring her life together with the person who she’s fated to be with?

Thank you to Laura Pearson for bringing back my love for audiobooks. I loved this book and I shall miss these two characters - Anna (Yes) and Anna (No) as I call them. Very relatable and a book which makes you think about your own paths and the decisions you have made / not made.

I will miss this now it’s finished

This was a very interesting listen about how actions can change your world.
A little bit of a sad story at parts but definitely worth a listen
The story was a little difficult to listen to at the start with each chapter being a different life but by the end I was hocked definitely worth a listen

Two different lives

A difficult listen as the story is so disjointed - unless you have the time to completely absorb yourself in the characters this is a tricky narrative that is unbelievable.

The most confusing story

I love Laura Pearson's books and this was no exception. The parallel lives trope was given a new and fresh slant with the motherhood aspect and the story was never predictable (unlike the majority of my Audible purchases) and the friendship between the two female protagonists very touching. There was light and shade (again unlike the majority of my audio books, which have only the latter). Sometimes the narrative felt a little rushed and I wondered how much had been cut out in the editing process (the romantic relationships in particular - Ben was barely there in the text) but this is a minor criticism. The narration was very well done too.

Beautifully written and read
