Very good start to the new series, was a great fan of the Expanse series. It's the kind if scifi found in books like the Saints of Salvation if that's what you're looking for.

The only problem with this is that I binged it in a very short period of time and now I’ll have to wait I don’t know how long for the next part.

I really enjoyed this one - flawed characters, multiple view points, a bragic situation with just enough thread crossing to interweave without becoming overly complicated.

Excellent both as an opener to a series and standalone novel

Since I loved the Expanse books so much I persevered with this new series, but felt like abandoning it at multiple points. The authors create an alternative universe that seems rather far-fetched. It took a long time (most of the book) to get into this envisioned future. In contrast to the epic nature of the universe portrayed the story and action play out on a rather small stage; it felt rather claustrophobic, but the ending sets the scene for the next book and I can now see great potential in where this story can go. Jefferson Mayes’ narration is excellent as ever.
